How can that be? Because many food pantries buy food
at a huge discount from Food Banks or wholesalers. So for what that can cost you at the store
(about $1) a food pantry can buy a whole case of food!
It may surprise you to hear this, but donating food
may NOT the best way to help the hungry! Why?
Donate a can and you feed one person.
Donate a dollar and you feed 20 people.
There is no such thing as a bad donation, but cash is so much more effective than cans that
